For my 50th birthday, my friends gifted me a nude portrait to, as they put it, "highlight my beauty." I immediately knew I wanted Anna Ulyashyna to accompany me through this vulnerable process and capture who I have become. Through dialogue, we clarified what I wanted the painting to show, and together we found the right pose and lighting. I was completely surprised when my friends suddenly appeared to unveil the painting with me and Anna. I was deeply moved by how Anna translated the essence of my life's journey onto the canvas. I've hung the painting proudly above my bed. "This is me."
