Exhibition dates: Saturday, November 30, to Sunday, January 5
Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Prepare to be inspired by the uniqueness and versatility of the works on display. From paintings and sculptures to videos, installations, photography, and graphics, The Salon presents a dynamic showcase of contemporary art, offering a glimpse into the exceptional talent that Arti represents.

As an artist member, I am excited to share that I will be showing one of my works from my SOFT series at the exhibition.

The Salon is also a selling exhibition, providing an excellent opportunity to acquire an original piece of art.

PROGRAM
Friday evening, November 29, KOPPIÉCASSIE performs live

The band KOPPIÉCASSIE features Pedro Bakker on keyboard alongside his talented grandsons Lucas Bakker (15) on saxophone and Kobe Bakker (13) on drums. Although Lucas and Kobe are from Ghent—born and raised there—they spend their holidays in Friesland, where the band name was born during playful jam sessions mixing jazz music and football.

The rising star of the Dutch and Belgian jazz scene is Lucas, who won the prestigious Princess Christina Jazz Competition in 2023 and was recently featured at Pop & Jazz Hilversum. On KOPPIÉCASSIE’s live demo, you can hear tracks like Remember Fela Kuti by the Afrobeat Academy—where drummer Kobe Bakker also shines. Kobe is developing his skills as a percussionist on the drum pad and has performed in numerous concerts with Lucas, including the New Year's Concert of the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in 2023. When they’re not performing on stage, the duo can often be spotted as street musicians in Ghent.

During KOPPIÉCASSIE’s performance, Pedro Bakker and writer/co-screenwriter Liesje Schreuders will present their film project Hé Blauwtje (working title), which delves into Lucebert’s wartime years and the period that followed up to 1950.

Afterward, dance at 45 RPM in the society hall with Vic van de Reijt and Ron Tebbens.
Rock 'n Roll – Beat – Soul – Disco – New Wave, but also French, Italian, and Surinamese Flemish vibes!
